Halloween Treats!

Namaste Y'all!

TRICK-OR-TREAT! Everyone's favorite sugar-coma inducing holiday is soon approaching, and we wanted to make sure you all were prepared with some good Halloween treat ideas. We are all about seasonal/holiday themed dishes and decor so we are obviously going to do a post about it! We searched the interwebz high and low to find the most Halloweeny snacks we could find (that were still super easy to make) and we found a few super cute ones to share with you all today! All of these ideas were inspired by Pinterest but we executed them with our own twist.

Pumpkin Rice Crispies treats:

The first treat we made were pumpkin-shaped rice crispies treats. We saw a bunch of variations on this while searching for treats to make. We saw them topped with chocolate candies as well as green candies for the stem" but we liked the look of the green so we used Mike and Ikes candies to top of our pumpkin treats. We just followed the instructions on the marshmallows pack, but here's how to make em!

Ingredients (15-20 treats):
3 cups marshmallows
5 cups Rice Krispies cereal
2 tablespoons butter
food coloring (we couldn't find orange so we mixed red and yellow until it looked right)

Procedure: Melt butter in a large microwave-safe bowl. Add marshmallows and heat at 45 second increments until completely melted. Add in food coloring and Rice Krispies cereal and fold in well. Transfer to a greased pan and let cool. Once cool, grease your hands and form balls/pumpkin shape. Top off with green Mike and Ike candy.
how freakin' cute are those?!

Apple Teeth

I love eating apples with peanut butter on a regular basis so when I saw these treats I knew we HAD to make them. This fun take on a classic snack is so easy and guaranteed to be enjoyed by everyone. I mean twhat's not to like? It's peanut butter, marshmallows, and apples!

Ingredients (yields 12-15):
2 medium red apples
60 mini Marshmallows
desired amount of peanut butter

Procedure: Cut an apple into small wedges. Spread a thin layer of peanut butter on half of the apple slices. Place desired amount of marshmallows on the apple slices with peanut butter. Top off with plain apple slice. The peanut butter acts as a glue so you don't need very much but more can be used to make the "teeth" look extra spooky!

Witches Hat's

The last treat we created were witches hats using Keebler's Fudge Stripes and Hershey's Kisses. This treat will be a huge hit for chocolate lovers. We used a little vanilla frosting to add a little color and hold the hat's together better and decorated them with some Halloween themed sprinkles.

Ingredients
1 container Keebler's Fudge Stripes
1 bag Hersheys Kisses
1 tub orange frosting
Halloween sprinkles (optional)

Procedure: Put a spoon of orange frosting on the chocolate dipped side of a Fudge stripe. Place Hershey's Kiss on the frosting until it forms a ring around the Hersheys Kiss. Decorate with sprinkles if desired.

So cute right?? And so easy! If you have any Halloween party plans, these treats should definitely be included in them. All of these treats are so quick and easy, only one of them requires any sort of "cooking" at all. We hope you found this post helpful, and would love to hear your thoughts! What is your favorite Halloween treat or tradition??

Wishing you all a safe, fun (and sugar) filled Halloween!

Until next time,
Cee and Ess
