July Favorites!

Namaste y'all!

Time is really flying by and it's almost the end of summer! Of course we still have a long stretch of the heat ahead of us in Texas but it seems like just yesterday that we just came back from India. On the other hand, both of us are incredibly excited to go back to school and cannot wait to show y'all our new apartment together as well as the fun little DIY's and knick knacks we found to decorate the place with. (Tip: you can find the best stuff in garage sales, one man's trash is another man's treasure).  Since July has come to an end, lets go ahead and get into our favorites for the past month.

Cee's Favorites:

Clothing: Denim Jacket

Jacket: Banana Republic
Similar: Here

I've been absolutely loving my new Banana Republic denim jacket. Since my work place is a little chilly, I alway need a jacket and I love how this one is a little cropped and form fitting so it still keeps me looking stylish while warm. I love the distress on it as well as the light shade of the denim, it makes any simple outfit so edgy while still being casual. I love pairing it with a simple tee, black or dark jeans and my Addidas.

Shoes: Chunky Strappy Heels

Shoes: Steve Madden
Similar: Here

I got these particular ones from Steve Madden for a steal! They were just $35 and I just couldn't resist them. What drew me in was the beautiful olive color of them. I had to adjust the straps on them but once I tried them on was pleasantly surprised with how comfortable they were. The chunky heel lets me walk with a lot of balance and the platform under my toes lets me be comfortable standing for a long time. I've been on the hunt for a chunky heel that I can wear to work but the trick was finding something I would be comfortable walking around and standing in for four hours straight. I think I've found a winner.

Beauty: Elf Gel Liner

It is definitely not a secret that Ess and I love our elf products and recently I've delved into the gel liner specifically and lo and behold I've fallen in love. The liner holds it's shape for the entire day without smudging even a little. I got a separate brush for it because the one it came with was too tiny for me to properly handle. It was tricky trying to wing it in the beginning but once I got the hang of it, I haven't been using anything else. It's just the perfect amount of opaque and black that I require in my eyeliners.

Ess's favorites:

Shoes: Lace-up Sandals

I've recently acquired these sandals from Banana Republic for a great steal! They are flat but come with a little padding and a little grip on the sole so I don't feel like I'm barefoot. I love that they are black so I can pair them with basically anything.

Sandals: Banana Republic

Clothing: Lace Halter neck Dress

This dress was given to me as a gift over a year ago and I never wore it because i felt like it was too formal and that I just couldn't pull off something like this. But working at a place where dressing up is basically in the job description gave me a lot of motivation to wear things I usually never would. This dress is sleeveless which I am not entirely comfortable wearing so I wear it with a light wash denim jacket. This gives me the extra layer I want and dresses down the look just enough. I got so many compliments when I wore this outfit to work so it became a quick favorite :)

Denim Jacket: Old Navy
Dress: Francescas
Wedges: Forever 21

Beauty: Tom's Deodorant

I have always struggled with dark pigmentation in my underarm region, which is why I have been too embarrassed to wear sleeveless clothing. I recently decided to take whatever action I could do see if I could find a remedy to this situation and swore off all deodorants containing aluminum and other harsh chemicals. I've been trying this one from Tom's which smells amazing and lasts all day which is great for my long work days!

Deodorant: CVS
